SMUTA congratulates the elected representatives of the Senate and Academic Council

The Sindh Madressatul Islam University Teachers Association (SMUTA) extends heartfelt congratulations to the candidates who succeeded in the recent elections for 10 Senate seats and 3 Academic Council seats. The candidates who were elected by securing over 85% of votes in the Senate and more than 90% in the Academic Council have achieved a remarkable and historic victory, which is proof that the teachers are united, determined, and confident for the development and dignity of the institution.

The elected members of the Senate and Academic Council include Qurat-ul-Ain Nazeer Ahmed, Syeda Wajiha Naeem, Muhammad Naeem Ahmed, Syed Azeem Inam, Shahid Ubaid, Dr. Umair Raees, Hitesh Kumar, Muzaffar Ali Shah, Ameen Khwaja, Asif Mehmood Awan, Basit Hassan Qureshi and Wafa Mansoor Barrdo.

The members of Sindh Madressatul Islam University Teachers Association (SMUTA) reiterated that these statutory bodies are very important platforms for conveying the voice of the teachers to the institution’s policy-making. It is the responsibility of the newly elected members to perform their duties with honesty, insight, and accountability and always adhere to the principle of “Institution First.” The leadership of SMUTA extends its best wishes to the newly elected members for their term and hopes that they will play a constructive role in the bright future of Sindh Madressatul Islam University.
