The 3rd Steering Committee Meeting of Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC) 2025 was held at the Chief Minister’s House, Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh. The 2nd Edition of PIMEC-2025 is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 6, 2025, at the Karachi Expo Centre.
The Chief Minister of Sindh reaffirmed the government’s full support for PIMEC-2025, emphasizing that the event will highlight Pakistan’s maritime potential and the prospects of the Blue Economy. He lauded the leadership and professionalism of the Pakistan Navy, emphasizing that the growth of the marine sector will create new avenues for employment, trade, and economic development. He encouraged all stakeholders to make collective efforts to ensure the event’s success.
The second session of the meeting was chaired by Commander Karachi, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, to review progress on national-level preparations for the strategically important upcoming event. He was briefed on the finalization of administrative, security, and support plans by various government departments, the Armed Forces, and LEAs. He highlighted that PIMEC-2025 will feature a Maritime Exhibition, an International Conference, a Cultural Show, and Business Engagements to promote economic and industrial cooperation in the maritime sector.
Senior representatives from Federal Ministries, departments of the Government of Sindh, Pakistan Navy, LEAs, and Badar Expo Solution, the Co-organizer, attended the meeting. During the meeting, all government organizations and departments pledged their full support for the successful conduct of PIMEC 2025.
PIMEC – 2025 aims to showcase the latest technological trends in the maritime sector and provide a platform for entrepreneurs, research and development specialists, financial experts, and policymakers to foster collaboration, form business partnerships, and explore joint ventures in the maritime domain.
