- In Apr’25, automobile sales stood at 10.6K units, reflecting a 5% MoM decline and remaining largely flat with a marginal 1% YoY increase. Cumulatively, 10MFY25 sales reached 111K units, representing a 40% YoY growth.
- The MoM decline in auto sales during Apr’25 is primarily attributed to delayed deliveries resulting from highway blockages amid protests. Additionally, subdued business activity during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays further impacted sales.
- In contrast, the cumulative increase in auto sales during 10MFY25, was mainly supported by lower interest rates enhancing auto financing affordability, a sharp decline in inflation, and the introduction of new car vehicles.
- Indus Motor Company Ltd (INDU) recorded a 4% MoM increase in volumetric sales for Apr’25, reaching 3,259 units. This growth was mainly supported by a 6% MoM rise in Corolla and Yaris sales to 2,516 units, while Fortuner and Hilux sales declined by 1% MoM to 743 units.
- Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) reported a 20% MoM increase in sales for Apr’25, reaching 1,707 units. Sales of Honda Civic/City rose by 32% MoM to 1,574 units, whereas HR-V/BR-V sales declined by 43% MoM, totaling 133 units.
- Moreover, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) reported a 12% MoM decline in sales for Apr’25, totaling 3,680 units. The most significant drop was seen in Bolan, which recorded zero sales, reflecting a 100% decline. Sales of Alto, Wagon R, and Every also fell by 26%, 13%, and 8% MoM, respectively. In contrast, Ravi, Cultus, and Swift saw MoM increases of 69%, 51%, and 13%, respectively.
- Sazgar Engineering Works Ltd (SAZEW) reported a 42% MoM decline in sales for Apr’25, primarily driven by a 43% MoM drop in Haval sales, which stood at 539 units.
- Two-wheeler sales volumes improved by 7% MoM in Apr’25. Atlas Honda (ATLH) reported sales of 115,300 units, showcasing a 9% MoM increase.
- Tractor sales improved by in Apr’25 to 1,602 units. Category-wise, 8% MoM decline was witnessed in MTL sales, which reached 859 units. On the other hand, AGTL’s sales increased by 24% MoM, with sales totaling 743 units.
