Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has signed an agreement with the Government of Sindh and SZABIST ZABTech to establish a state-of-the-art Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Skill Development Center at the Youth Center in Kashmore.
A formal agreement signing ceremony was held at OGDCL’s Head Office in Islamabad. Member National Assembly (NA-191) Mr. Ali Jan Mazari graced the event as the Chief Guest. The agreement was signed by Executive Director (Services) OGDCL, Mr. Zia Salahuddin, Executive Director SZABIST ZABTech, Ms. Waheeda Mahesar, and Deputy Commissioner of Kashmore, Mr. Sher Zaman Khan.
As part of this collaboration, OGDCL will fund the development of modern TVET qualification labs, transforming the Youth Center Kashmore into a fully functional SZABIST TVET Institute. The facility will offer Competency-Based Training, certifications, and accreditations from state-recognized bodies, completely free of cost to the marginalized youth of the area. The program aims to train 2,400 students over a period of five years, equipping them with market-relevant skills and enabling them to achieve sustainable livelihoods and self-reliance.
On the occasion, MD/CEO OGDCL, Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak; MNA Mr. Ali Jan Mazari; and the Deputy Commissioner Kashmore reaffirmed their commitment to empowering youth through quality technical education and skills development.
This initiative reflects OGDCL’s dedication to uplifting marginalized communities and contributing meaningfully to the country’s socio-economic development.
