Mobilink Bank partners with SEDF for MSME financing in Sindh

Mobilink Bank has partnered with the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) for a five-year initiative aimed at providing structured financing to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sindh’s key growth sectors.

The collaboration aims to unlock up to PKR 1 billion in financing by combining Mobilink Bank’s lending with SEDF’s markup subsidy, thereby reducing the cost of capital for entrepreneurs. This partnership focuses on underserved sectors, including agriculture, livestock, renewable energy, and women-led enterprises.

Mobilink Bank will offer various MSME financing options, while SEDF will provide markup support for up to one year, with individual projects eligible for financing of up to PKR 5 million. Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, President & CEO of Mobilink Bank, emphasised the importance of supporting small businesses to drive local economies and create sustainable livelihoods.

Zubair Ahmed Channa, Secretary of the Investment Department, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors to strengthen financing ecosystems. Ultimately, this initiative aims to enhance access to finance for MSMEs across Sindh, contributing to inclusive economic growth and resilience.
