The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Fire Department promptly contained a fire that broke out at the Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) this morning.

The blaze, which erupted in a top lifter carrying a 40-foot container and spread to nearby empty containers, was reported at 10:26 AM. One fire tender from the MI Yard and two from the Central Fire Station were immediately deployed. Through quick and coordinated action, the fire was brought under control by 10:45 AM and fully extinguished by 11:00 AM.

KPT appreciates the support of Karachi Shipyard and the Pakistan Navy, whose fire tenders assisted in the operation. The professionalism and swift response of all teams ensured the incident was efficiently contained.
