KATI shows concern over unavailability of up to mark fire facilities in Karachi

President of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) showed concern over unavailability of required firefighting facilities in Karachi. According to a statement released by KATI he said that available information regarding functional fire station in the city is a matter of concern for the citizens. He said that number of fire station is 22 in the city, which is already doesn’t match the requirement and on other nearly half of them are not functional. Masood Naqi said a city of more than two million people and economic hub of Pakistan is being short of such basic facility, which put a huge question mark on the functionality of administration. Mention some recent incident he said that fire eruption incident in industrial and commercial establishments directly effects sense of security among investors and business community, it should be ensured through timely measures. Masood Naqi urged Sindh Government and KMC to immediately provide up to mark fire facilities and crisis management in the city on priority basis.
