Heimtextil Exhibition started as global textile players arrived in Frankfurt

The world’s largest textile industry trade fair, Heimtextil 2026, organized by Messe Frankfurt, will begin on Tuesday, January 13, in Frankfurt, Germany, and continue until Friday, January 16. It is being held as the year’s first major event. Exhibitors from almost all major countries of the world, including Pakistan, have arrived in Frankfurt fully prepared to participate in Heimtextil. Messe Frankfurt’s representative in Pakistan, Omar Hadi Salahuddin, has also arrived in Frankfurt with his team.

Heimtextil is a leading global exhibition for home and contract textiles, leather, and related sectors, providing a unique international platform to showcase innovative textile products and distinctive designs. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be a central focus at Heimtextil this year and is receiving special attention in the global textile industry.

As a renowned international trade fair, Heimtextil also maps market changes with its focused themes on interior design, hospitality products, sustainability, and healthy sleep megatrends, making it the most important platform for textile materials and textile design worldwide.

This year, Pakistan will have its largest-ever participation at Heimtextil. According to estimates, around 285 Pakistani exhibitors will take part in Heimtextil 2026. The exhibition is expected to attract even more visitors than last year’s over 50,000, with participation from more than 50 countries.

A large number of Pakistani companies will participate with products including bed linen, kitchen linen, towels, and leather goods. For the first time, 11 Pakistani carpet exporters are participating in Hall 11.0. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will host the Pakistani Pavilion with 63 stalls in Hall 9.1, with more than 215 exporters participating directly.

Hanif Lakhani, Director of Lakhani Silk Mills, while sharing his views on Heimtextil, said that Lakhani is once again participating on a large scale this year. He stated that the exhibition is used not only to showcase products but also to understand new industry trends, designs, styles, sustainability-related products, and to gather information about potential suppliers.

At Heimtextil, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be highlighted. Textile manufacturers will promote their products and introduce new technology-based innovations.

The opening press conference for Heimtextil 2026 will be held on January 13 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, during which Patricia Urquiola and others will address the media.
