Hamdard village school has won 18th Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Inter-School Football Championship tournament 2016 after defeating Hamdard Public School by 2 : 0 in a final match, played on yesterday at Bilawal Stadium, Madinat al-Hikmah Karachi. The school won this championship last year as well. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest and former Senator, Abdul Haseeb Khan said that Hakim Mohammed Said, who himself was an sportsman, had established the both schools — Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village School with equal standard of education and facilities and that’s why both schools were making competitions in sports either.
Congratulating the winner team, he announced an award of Rs. 50,000/- cash for each team and gave away the winner trophy to the captain of winning team, Ayaz Ali and runner trophy to Captain of Hamdard Public School’s team, Essa Khan. In all 8 teams of Karachi’s schools participated in the championship tournament 2016. Dr. Khalid Nasim, Administrator, Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village School offered vote of thanks.
