Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chairperson and Usama Qureshi, Managing Director & CEO, Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan with profound grief have condoled the demise of Masood Ahmed Barakati, Senior Director, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Chief Editor, Hamdard Naunehal, a well-known and popular children magazine, who died on Sunday December 10, 2017 in Karachi. “We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”

Late Masood Ahmed Barakati was a big name in children’s literature and a shining star of Hamdard who had served this institution of national repute with sincerity and dedication for more than 60 years which is no doubt an extraordinary service record. The void, created by his death in Hamdard and literary world will not be filled in for a long time.

He was a trustworthy lieutenant of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said and latter of Mrs. Sadia Rashid, the daughter and successor of Hakim Sahib’s legacy. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to bereaved family.
