EFP delegation visits KATI

President of Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) Majyd Aziz said that issues regarding industrial laws could be resolve if all the representatives of industrialists become united on the issue. While speaking to a meeting, on his visit to Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI), he said that country’s economy is relaying on imports due to this export oriented industries are facing hard times.

On this occasion President of KATI Masood Naqi welcomed the delegation of EFP, included Vice President Zaki Ahmed, Board Members Ahsan Ullah Khan, Khwaja Nouman, General Secretary EFP Faseeh Siddiqui and other. He said that laws regarding social security causing burdens on already overburdened industries, a lot of issues related to infrastructure and utilities are awaited to be resolved but nobody on government level ready to resolve them. Masood Naqi said that industry is the largest sector which is providing employment, despite this essential role we are not receiving due attention and facilities by government. Majyd Aziz said that EFP is now working on paradigm shift and trying to think out of the box. He said that now we are trying to bring together all representatives of industry with town associations and representatives of particular industries. He said that competition in global market is becoming tougher than ever, this is time to resolve problems of industries, if we want economic prosperity. In the meeting former presidents of KATI Zahid Saeed, Zubair Chhaya, Gulzar Firoz, Shaikh Fazl-e-Jalil, President Lasbela Chamber Ismail Suttar, Mian Suhail Sarwar and others also discussed issues regarding industry. An MOU between EFP and KATI was also singed.
