Dawlance, a leading home appliance manufacturer in Pakistan and part of the global Beko Group, received the Climate Action Award at the 4th Pakistan Climate Conference organised by OICCI. This accolade highlights Dawlance’s commitment to sustainable business practices and climate action.
The conference focused on the theme “The Climate Acceleration: From Commitment to Competitive Edge,” emphasising the urgency for businesses to turn climate commitments into competitive advantages, especially given the significant economic impact of climate change in Pakistan.
Dawlance was recognised for its holistic sustainability approach, encompassing energy efficiency, responsible manufacturing, and sustainable product design. CEO Umar Ahsan Khan stated that climate action is central to long-term value creation and that the company’s goal is to meet its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) emissions reduction targets by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050.
With robust governance guiding its climate strategy, Dawlance aims to lead Pakistan’s shift towards a low-carbon economy, proving that environmental responsibility and business growth can go hand in hand.
