Bank Alfalah has highlighted its achievements in advancing women’s financial inclusion, showing growth in female customers, entrepreneurship funding, and workforce representation. Women account for around 650,000 of the total accounts, with a 12% increase in account holders in 2025, contributing 11% of total deposits.
The bank’s support for women entrepreneurs includes a 20% rise in women borrowing in SMEs, amounting to PKR 521 million in financing. In agriculture, 857 women-led businesses received PKR 1.32 billion. The bank also disbursed PKR 264 million in interest-free loans to small-scale women farmers.
Bank Alfalah facilitates BISP, with a 150% increase in beneficiaries to 4.5 million women since 2022, providing approximately PKR 48 billion quarterly. Through AlfaMall, women artisans have sold products generating an average of PKR 72 million each month.
Regarding workforce representation, women make up 21% of the staff and received 17% of promotions in 2025. The bank offers programmes for career advancement, including childcare support and maternity leave.
Bank Alfalah supports community partnerships, facilitating PKR 25 million in microfinance for 500 women entrepreneurs. Collaborations include delivering legal and financial awareness sessions and establishing Digital Arts Labs for training in digital skills, benefiting about 2,000 students. The bank also provides scholarships and educational opportunities for women in STEM and other fields.
