An art exhibition titled “Feminists Charisma VI by Talented Women Artists” was held at the local Art Citi Gallery to pay tribute to the artistic contributions of women artists. The President of the Arts Council, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, inaugurated the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that art holds significant importance worldwide, reflecting every dimension of society through its diverse forms. He added that the prevailing global situation is often expressed through various styles and colours in art, and noted that women artists tend to possess a stronger aesthetic sense than men.
He said that he observed many new ideas in the exhibition and congratulated all the participating artists on their impressive work. He expressed confidence that collectors would visit the exhibition and further added that Art City Gallery provides opportunities not only to established artists but also to emerging talent.
The exhibition, hosted at Art Citi Gallery, featured 60 artworks created by 25 women artists. It aimed to pay tribute to the creative abilities of female artists, highlighting themes such as feminine beauty and natural landscapes. Renowned artist Samina Mumtaz curated the exhibition. Among the attendees were members of the Sindh Assembly and the Secretary of Local Government Sindh, Mohammad Qasim Soomro, along with Tanveer Farooqi, Jimmy Engineer, and a large number of art enthusiasts. Speaking at the event, Mohammad Qasim Soomro emphasised the importance of youth, stating that young people are a valuable asset to any nation.
He noted that proper guidance and training could bring positive change to society. He added that such platforms provide young individuals with opportunities to learn, gain practical experience, and showcase their talents. He encouraged youth to take full advantage of such opportunities, develop new skills, and work diligently towards building a brighter future.
The exhibition featured works by several artists, including Afsheen Waqas, Aniqa Fatima, Annal Haque, Arusha Javed, Asma Baig, Azra Wahab, Fasiha Farooq, Fauzia Khan, Hajra Mansoor, Hafsa Sheikh, Laiba Maqsood, Naureen Usmani, Nida Fatima, Noshina Rind, Rahab Naqvi, Razia Sahar, Sadia Arif, Sahar Atta, Saher Shah Rizvi, Saima Aamir, Samina Mumtaz, Shaima Umar, Shaista Momin, Sidra Sattar, Sohaina Elia, Sunbal Sajid, Syeda Nadia Raza, Sabeen Rashid, and Zainab Taj.
