The Annual General Body Meeting of the Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (Registered No. 002 of 2023) was held at SITE Hyderabad. The session was presided over by Patron-in-Chief and former Chairman, Mazharul Haq, who elaborated on the legal status and formalities of the Association. He stated that the Association, being a legally registered body under license number 002, has successfully renewed its license for the period 2025 to 2028.
Following the 18th Constitutional Amendment, all trade and industrial associations now operate under the jurisdiction of their respective provincial governments. In accordance with this, the renewal of the Association’s license was conducted with the approval of the committee established under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, which included all relevant regulatory authorities. According to the Articles of Association and the Association’s Constitution, elections for the term 2025–2027 were held in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
During the meeting, the newly elected officebearers and members of the Managing Committee were officially announced. Zubair Ghangro was elected as Chairman, Aamir Shahab as Senior Vice Chairman, and Esar Kumar as Vice Chairman. Shahid Qaimkhani was appointed as General Secretary, while Aslam Bawani took the position of Finance Secretary. In his address to the media, the newly elected Chairman, Zubair Ghangra, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members for their trust and support. He emphasised that the Hyderabad SITE area is currently facing multiple fundamental issues, including deteriorated infrastructure, poor road conditions, inadequate drainage systems, interruptions in electricity and gas supply, a lack of sanitation, and weak security—all of which are hindering industrial growth.
The newly elected Senior Vice Chairman, Aamir Shahab; Vice Chairman, Esar Kumar; and General Secretary, Shahid Qaimkhani, jointly stated that their primary focus will be on repairing roads and improving the drainage system to ensure a conducive working environment for industrialists. They reaffirmed their commitment to building strong coordination with key departments, including SSGC, WASA, Municipal Corporation, EPA, and SEPCO, to ensure uninterrupted utilities. They also pledged to strengthen the security framework through regular consultations with police, Rangers, and private security agencies. Additionally, they aim to maximize development work through the government-constituted SITE Works Committee.
The meeting was attended by prominent business leaders, including the President of the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry, Saleem Memon, along with Ali Ghangra, Nadeem Siddiqui, Saman Mal, Haji Haroon and a large number of industrialists.
