A delegation from the FPCCI visits Oman to strengthen cooperation and promote joint investments

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) have pledged to enhance cooperation and promote joint investments between the private sectors of both countries.

The FPCCI delegation, led by Senior Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, met with Hamood Al-Saadi, Deputy Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation also included Vice President Muhammad Aman Paracha, Chairman of the FPCCI Pakistan-Oman Business Council Nadeem Mehmood Magoon, Patron of the Hajj & Umrah Association Furqan Abdul Qadir, and other members.

During their visit, the delegation participated in various events and held meetings with prominent personalities. At Pakistan House in Muscat, they were accompanied by Bilal Hasan, Deputy Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, Ishrat Bhatti, Commercial Counselor, and key members of the Pakistani business community in Oman, including entrepreneurs Mian Muhammad Riaz Mumtaz, Mian Fayyaz, Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, and Ahmed Subhani, a member of OCCI’s Investment Committee.

The delegation was briefed on Oman’s capabilities in IT, pharmaceuticals, medical tourism, and food processing. FPCCI Vice President Aman Paracha gave a presentation on Pakistan’s economic progress, investment incentives, and potential partnerships with Omani businesses.

Speaking to the media, Amaan Paracha shared that high-ranking officials, diplomats, and business leaders participated in various events during the visit, creating a favorable environment for new investments.

The FPCCI delegation, led by Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, also met with Hamood bin Salim Al-Saadi, OCCI’s second Deputy Chairman, and H.E. Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman. Key sectors discussed for bilateral cooperation included food security, ICT, education, textiles, healthcare, construction, travel and tourism, automotive, import-export, sports goods, and others.

Aman Paracha emphasized that the objective of the visit was to strengthen bridges of cooperation and partnership between Pakistan and Oman, open broader pathways for economic, trade, and investment integration, and facilitate easier visa acquisition. He stated that this reflects a strong intent to deepen cooperation, especially in economic domains, and to provide continuous momentum for bilateral ties rooted in deep historical relations.

He further shared that FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon highlighted Pakistan’s strategic partnership perspective, referencing Oman’s geographic location, investment climate, and Vision 2040. He encouraged the business communities of both countries to take advantage of mutual incentives and collaborate on joint ventures to compete in regional and global markets.

Saqib Fayyaz Magoon also welcomed the announcement of strengthened maritime links between Pakistan and Oman and the launch of a direct Gwadar ferry service.

The forum included B2B meetings among business leaders to explore partnerships, exchange expertise, and discuss joint investment projects, paving the way for stronger economic and trade cooperation.
