SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 1,210 million

The country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$ 23,715.8 million as of 4-Sep-2026. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 18,328.2 million

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks :  US$   5,387.6 million

Total liquid foreign reserves             :  US$ 23,715.8 million

During the week ended on 4-Sep-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 1,210 million to US$ 18,328.2 million. The increase in SBP’s FX reserves is due to the receipt of GoP commercial loan proceeds.
