The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has selected TerraMarine for he Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has selected TerraMarine as the preferred proponent for the landmass and wharf components of the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project. This milestone supports Prime Minister Mark Carney’s goal of doubling Canadian exports to non-U.S. markets over the next decade, enhancing supply chain resilience and unlocking over $100 billion in annual trade capacity.

The project will increase container capacity at the Port of Vancouver by more than 30%, contributing over $3 billion annually to Canada’s GDP and supporting tens of thousands of jobs. TerraMarine, comprising several experienced firms, including Flatiron Dragados and Aecon Constructors, will deliver the marine landmass, wharf structure, and environmental mitigation projects.

The selection followed a competitive procurement process, and TerraMarine will work with the port authority and First Nations to advance construction planning. The financial close and early works are expected in late 2027, with construction beginning in 2028 and terminal operations anticipated to start in the mid-2030s.

The project has secured key environmental approvals and has the consent of 27 First Nations, demonstrating a strong commitment to collaboration.
