On Saturday, Rotary District 3271 celebrated the beginning of its 2026–27 year by installing **Shahzad Sabir** as District Governor during a ceremony at the Marquee, PC Hotel Karachi. The event was attended by over a thousand Rotarians, diplomats, and community leaders from Pakistan and beyond.

A key feature of the ceremony was the unveiling of several flagship initiatives for the year, such as the **Million Trees Project** for environmental sustainability, the **District Medical Outreach Programme**, and intensified **Polio Immunization** campaigns. Other initiatives aimed at improving public health included **Pink Washrooms** for menstrual hygiene, **Hearing Aid** assistance, and expanded **Breast Cancer Awareness** programs.

The event also marked the launch of the commemorative book, **”100 Years of Rotary Service in Pakistan,”** highlighting a century of humanitarian efforts. This publication was unveiled by **PP. Syed Kashif Rafi** in the presence of various prominent Rotary leaders.

Furthermore, the district’s new official website and mobile app were introduced to enhance communication and volunteer engagement. In his inaugural speech, Governor Shahzad Sabir emphasized a commitment to sustainable community service through innovative projects and strengthened partnerships. The ceremony concluded with cultural performances and a fellowship dinner.
