Humnava, Pakistan’s global music platform, launched “Isekta,” its eighth song from the first season, at a cultural celebration co-hosted with the British Council in Lahore.
The event brought together artists, cultural voices, and audiences for an intimate listening session, featuring reflections from creators and discussions of cultural exchange and the unifying power of music. “Isekta,” an Arabic track by Bakrin Timlfati, evokes feelings of longing and connection, blending emotional guitars, traditional percussion, and haunting vocals.
Curated by Xulfi and Sherry Khattak, the song features several artists and was filmed at Passu Ground in Hunza. Xulfi, the curator, highlighted the theme of cherishing fleeting moments captured through music.
The event also included a discussion on music’s role in inclusion and cultural preservation. Humnava Season 1 has united over 30 musicians from around the world, showcasing Pakistan’s rich cultural landscape. “Isekta” is available on YouTube and Spotify.
