Banks cannot drive businesses by merely holding money, SM Tanveer

At a dinner hosted by UBG President Zubair Tufail, Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer emphasized the importance of investment and operational industries for economic activation. He announced that UBG has prepared a shadow budget and established an economic think tank to recommend federal budget strategies for the upcoming fiscal year.

Tanveer highlighted the need for a revised trade policy to revive 80 industries that have closed and shared insights from his extensive travels across Pakistan to better understand business challenges. He emphasized the need for unity among FPCCI members to strengthen the business community and announced the formation of a five-member committee to nominate capable candidates for the federation.

UBG President Tufail praised Tanveer for his leadership, while Bashir Jan Mohammad recognized him as a worthy successor to SM Muneer and stressed the unification of the business community. Khalid Tawab called for cooperation to address unemployment by establishing industries in the national interest.
