Mobilink Bank, Pakistan’s leading digital microfinance bank, has launched the “Bibi App,” a mobile application aimed at raising breast cancer awareness and providing accessible health information to women. Developed by Aangan, a startup focused on women’s reproductive health, the app is part of Mobilink Bank’s Women Inspirational Network (WIN) Incubator.
The launch event in Islamabad gathered various stakeholders to promote awareness about women’s health and early breast cancer detection. With 1 in 9 women in Pakistan at risk for breast cancer, the app targets women aged 18-55 in urban and semi-rural areas, offering vetted information in Urdu and English.
The Bibi App exemplifies Mobilink Bank’s commitment to women’s empowerment beyond traditional financial services. It aims to improve health literacy and support women-led innovation in Pakistan, with 31 startups already graduated from the WIN Incubator. President and CEO Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary highlighted the app’s role in making critical health information accessible and meaningful for women in the country.
