Coca-Cola Pakistan has planted 5,000 indigenous trees at F-6/3 Park, supporting the Ministry of Climate Change’s Upscaling Green Pakistan Programme. The initiative aims to enhance urban greenery and reduce emissions. The tree planting ceremony featured Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, and Coca-Cola executives, with participation from local citizens and youth volunteers.
Dr. Malik emphasized the need for ongoing afforestation efforts, highlighting the role of trees in reducing greenhouse gases. He praised Coca-Cola’s contribution and urged corporate involvement in climate resilience.
Coca-Cola Pakistan’s Senior Director, Dr. Faisal Hashmi, stated their commitment to environmental sustainability through collaborative efforts. The initiative builds on Coca-Cola’s previous environmental projects in Pakistan, including partnerships for water stewardship and waste management, and follows a similar plantation drive at Islamabad International Airport, where 2,000 trees were planted. Overall, Coca-Cola has contributed over 250,000 trees across the country, reinforcing its dedication to a sustainable future.
