ACP hosts cultural night for the Bangladeshi civil servants’ delegation

A delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh visited the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi to promote cultural relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Arts Council President, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, welcomed the delegation and guided them through the various sections while highlighting cultural activities. A grand cultural night featured musical and dance performances, including Sindhi folk music by Alghoza player Akbar Khamiso Khan and a Bharatanatyam performance by Mani Chao. Arts Council students also showcased Pakistani contemporary dance, alongside various cultural dances and folk music by Esha Tamsil and Cynthia, which were well-received by the audience.

Among the attendees were Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman, Director General of NIPA, and Additional Secretary Salma Siddiqua Mehtab, who represented the Bangladeshi delegation. President Shah expressed joy at the cultural gathering and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries through art, which transcends boundaries. Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman praised the Arts Council’s role in promoting diverse cultures and languages in Pakistan. At the event’s conclusion, Shah presented a traditional Sindhi Ajrak and a bouquet to Mehtab, while Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman presented Shah with a shield in recognition of his contributions to culture.
