Code for Pakistan convened “Quetta Guftugu 2026” at the Quetta Press Club, bringing together policymakers, educators, technologists, civil society, and media to chart pathways for EdTech integration in Balochistan’s education system.
With over 1.2 million children out of school and persistent infrastructure gaps, participants stressed that technology-led interventions must be grounded in basic access, teacher training, and policy continuity. Discussions highlighted blended learning, mobile-first solutions, community learning centres, and public-private partnerships as practical models for Quetta’s context.
The dialogue underscored the need to move beyond fragmented pilots toward coordinated ecosystem building.
Code for Pakistan announced immediate steps, including mapping active initiatives across the province and convening a follow-up Guftugu to align stakeholders on implementation.
