Livoltek has announced a strategic MoU and EPC agreement with Hub Salt and Optimisen for the installation of a 2.35MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) integrated with a 1.44MW solar PV plant at the Hub Salt Refinery in Sindh. This marks Livoltek’s first high‑capacity BESS deployment in Pakistan, reinforcing its leadership in advanced energy storage solutions.
The project, executed by Optimisen, will transition Hub Salt from diesel dependency to a clean hybrid solar‑plus‑storage system. The initiative is expected to displace 360,000 liters of diesel annually, reduce CO₂ emissions by 2,000 tons, and generate carbon credits in accordance with international standards.
Livoltek’s Director of Sales, Max Ma, said the company aims to deploy 20 MW of BESS capacity nationwide this year, supporting Pakistan’s energy transition. Hub Salt CEO Ismail Suttar called the project a “transformative shift” toward sustainable operations, while Optimisen’s Director of Technical, Faisal Mehdi Khan, highlighted its role as a benchmark for future industrial energy projects.
The collaboration sets a precedent for reliable, cost‑effective, and environmentally responsible energy solutions in Pakistan’s industrial sector.
