According to the latest data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), local mobile phone companies manufactured or assembled 2.79 million units in March 2026, a 20% year-over-year increase from 2.33 million units in March 2025, as reported by Topline Pakistan Research.
– In total, local manufacturing and assembly reached 7.36 million units in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 2% increase year-over-year.
– During the first quarter of 2026, Pakistan met 86% of its mobile phone demand through local manufacturing and assembly.
– The top ten locally assembled brands in the first quarter of 2026 include VGO TEL (1.12 million units), followed by Infinix (0.75 million units), Vivo (0.56 million units), Samsung (0.52 million units), Itel (0.50 million units), Tecno (0.44 million units), Nokia (0.40 million units), X Mobile (0.35 million units), OPPO (0.29 million units), and Realme (0.27 million units).
