Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener of Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, has stated that Pakistan is playing an important, dynamic, and responsible role in global diplomacy in the current international landscape. He said that the country’s foreign policy is focused on promoting peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the region.
He noted that, due to Pakistan’s serious and balanced diplomatic approach, its global reputation has improved, and its stance is being well-received on various international forums. Pakistan, he added, has always prioritised the peaceful resolution of disputes, dialogue, and adherence to international law—principles that remain cornerstones of its foreign policy today. Pakistan continues to strive for stronger and more positive relations not only with neighbouring countries but also with the wider international community.
Syed Aman Shah praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his professional capabilities and leadership, stating that under his visionary leadership, the country’s defense has been further strengthened and Pakistan’s global standing has been elevated. He highlighted that effective coordination between military and political leadership has played a key role in addressing both internal and external challenges.
He further said that while Pakistan is achieving positive diplomatic progress globally, it continues to face economic challenges domestically, particularly in the energy sector. Expressing concern, he stated that despite fluctuations in global oil prices, there has been no significant reduction in petroleum prices in Pakistan, placing a heavy financial burden on the public.
He urged the government to take immediate and effective measures to reduce petroleum prices in order to provide relief to the people. He also emphasised the urgent need for Pakistan to move towards energy self-sufficiency by focusing on alternative sources such as renewable energy, thereby reducing reliance on imports and stabilising the economy.
Syed Aman Shah concluded by stating that in the face of evolving global conditions, Pakistan’s leadership has made prudent decisions that have further strengthened the country’s diplomatic position. He called upon the international community to recognise Pakistan’s positive efforts and enhance cooperation in addressing shared global challenges.
