Government of Pakistan, Google launch “AI Seekho 2026” Initiative

Google for Developers, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Telenor, and Innovista, has launched AI Seekho 2026, aiming to equip Pakistan’s youth with AI skills for free. The program introduces vibe coding, an intuitive approach to application development that uses platforms such as Google AI Studio and Google Antigravity. Participants can register at goo.gle/aiseekho2026.

Federal Minister for IT, Shaza Fatima, emphasised the goal of transitioning to an AI-powered economy, targeting youth to help them gain essential digital skills. Farhan Qureshi from Google highlighted the importance of scaling AI skills for Pakistan’s future.

**Program Structure:**

– **Phase 1: Online Challenge (April 11 – May 3)**: Participants will learn Generative AI and submit solutions in either app or game development.

– **Phase 2: Physical Hackathon**: Planned in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, participants will compete to build mobile apps with a prize pool of PKR 2.5 million.

AI Seekho 2026 encourages youth to learn, build, and innovate with AI, preparing them for future technological challenges.
