A powerful multi-stakeholder event was held to celebrate women’s empowerment, social inclusion, and collective action, bringing together leading organisations, government representatives, and private sector stakeholders.
Jointly organised by various groups, including HRDN, IRM, TVO, and others, the program began with participant registration and a Commitment Pledge that reaffirmed dedication to gender equality. The proceedings included the recitation of the Holy Quran and the National Anthem.
Ms Fareena Mazhar, a distinguished civil servant, delivered an inspiring Inaugural Address emphasising the importance of enabling environments for women’s participation in economic growth. Mr Muhammad Shafique Khan provided the keynote, discussing the role of responsible business practices in advancing human rights.
The symbolic activity “Ripple Effect: Pebbles and Water” illustrated how individual actions contribute to societal change. Remarks from Chief Guest Ms Syma Nadeem highlighted the need for policy coherence in gender-responsive governance.
An interactive session, “The Power of Her Words,” engaged participants in expressing shared narratives to drive social change. The event concluded with closing remarks by Ms Robeela Bangash, emphasising the importance of sustained partnerships. Shields were presented to speakers in recognition of their contributions.
The gathering reaffirmed a shared vision for gender equality and inclusive development, concluding with a group photograph and networking.
