CM to inaugurate three-Day 21st My Karachi Exhibition at Expo Centre on Feb 6

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah will inaugurate the 21st My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony International Exhibition on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Karachi Expo Centre, where over 300 stalls will be set up to showcase a diverse range of products and services being offered to consumers and trade buyers at highly competitive and discounted rates.

Chairman Special Committee for My Karachi Exhibition and Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Muhammad Idrees, while highlighting the salient features of the three-day mega event, said that the exhibition will continue until Sunday, February 8, 2026, and will once again serve as an ideal platform for Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions, alongside providing quality recreation and entertainment for families.

“This flagship exhibition has become one of Karachi’s most eagerly awaited annual events, attracting massive public interest every year”, Muhammad Idrees stated. “We are expecting over 800,000 visitors during the three days. Several diplomats from friendly countries have confirmed their participation, while many multinational companies are also taking part this year, underscoring the international stature and growing appeal of the My Karachi Exhibition.”

He emphasised that the exhibition reflects the collective resolve of the business community to project Karachi as a vibrant, progressive, and opportunity-rich city. “My Karachi Exhibition is not merely a trade fair; it is a powerful statement showcasing the resilience, diversity, and economic strength of Karachi and Pakistan.”

Reflecting on the initiative’s origins, Muhammad Idrees recalled that the concept of ‘My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony’ was conceived in 2004 during the presidency of Late Siraj Kassam Teli, who envisioned the exhibition as a counter-narrative to the negative, often misleading portrayal of Karachi in international media.

“The objective was clear—to present the true, positive, and peaceful face of Karachi to the world,” he said. “Over the years, with the unwavering commitment of successive KCCI leaderships, this exhibition has evolved into one of the most prestigious and influential platforms promoting trade, industry, culture, and harmony.”

He further noted that, except for 2020 and 2021, when the event could not be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KCCI has consistently organised the My Karachi Exhibition without any commercial motive, purely as a service to the nation, with the core mission of promoting the ‘Made in Pakistan’ brand and reinforcing Karachi’s image as a business-friendly and investment-ready metropolis.

Muhammad Idrees expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Sindh, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Sindh Police, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), and other concerned departments and law enforcement agencies for their continued cooperation and support in ensuring the smooth organisation and security of the event.

He pointed out that participation by leading manufacturers, exporters, SMEs, and renowned national brands once again demonstrates the business community’s confidence in KCCI, particularly at a time when industries and traders are grappling with severe economic challenges.

“The 21st My Karachi Exhibition offers an exceptional opportunity to explore the immense trade and investment potential of Karachi and Pakistan, a country blessed with natural resources, cultural richness, skilled manpower, and untapped economic promise”, he remarked. “Every effort has been made to ensure maximum public participation while truly reflecting Karachi’s status as the economic and financial hub of Pakistan.”

Highlighting the consumer-centric focus of the event, Muhammad Idrees stated that exhibitors at the 21st My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony Exhibition will offer their products and services at special subsidised and discounted rates. He emphasised that visitors will have the opportunity to purchase quality goods directly from manufacturers, exporters, and leading brands at prices significantly lower than prevailing market rates, making the exhibition particularly beneficial for families and consumers amid the ongoing economic challenges.

To further enhance the experience for visitors, Muhammad Idrees added that a wide range of family-oriented attractions have been planned, including a dedicated Food Court, Pets and Birds Shows, live musical performances, and fireworks displays, making the exhibition an enjoyable and memorable event for people of all ages.
