The Pakistan-Malaysia Friendship Association (PMFA) celebrated its 4th Appreciation Awards Ceremony, highlighting the strong partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia. Key attendees included Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal, PMFA President Shahid Jawed Qureshi, Malaysia’s Consul General H.E. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, and business leaders.
Minister Kamal emphasized the need to enhance economic and trade ties, praising PMFA’s efforts in fostering business partnerships. He noted the significant potential for new trade opportunities, with current bilateral trade at $1.5 billion.
Qureshi highlighted Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship and the importance of revisiting the Free Trade Agreement to address trade barriers. Consul General Ahmad acknowledged PMFA’s role in strengthening trade relations and reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to expanding regional cooperation.
Awards were presented to individuals recognized for their contributions in trade and industry, including Abdul Rasheed Jan Muhammad, Mukhtar Hussain Dossani, and Air Asia X Berhad.
