As Pakistan celebrates its 78th Independence Day, Rafiq Suleman, President of the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council, highlighted the nation’s growing international presence, particularly in Kenya, through trade and diplomacy. He emphasized Pakistan’s rising global stature, with bilateral trade between the two countries reaching $950 million last year, aiming to increase it to $1.5 billion by 2026-2027.
Suleman credited key figures, including Abrar Hussain Khan, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Kenya, for their role in strengthening trade relations. He noted that Pakistan’s primary exports to Kenya include pharmaceuticals, sports goods, rice, automotive products, and IT services, underscoring the potential for growth in the IT sector.
On this historic occasion, Suleman reaffirmed his commitment to Pakistan’s prosperity, voicing a collective pledge to work towards a more prosperous nation through trade and unity.
