In a media release issued on Tuesday afternoon, Sui Southern Gas Company announced the suspension of gas supply for 14 hours on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in certain areas of District West, Karachi, following a request from Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) for assistance in their pipeline rehabilitation program.

However, given the possible inconvenience to our esteemed consumers due to the public holiday for Independence Day, SSGC’s senior management has decided to postpone its pipeline diversion program to another date.

Hence, SSGC’s media release issued on Tuesday afternoon should be considered cancelled. Furthermore, through this new media release, SSGC clearly announces that there will be no gas shutdown in District West, Karachi, on Independence Day.
