Every child deserves timely, life-saving care. In fiscal year 2024–25, over one million children in Sindh received emergency treatment through ChildLife Foundation’s network of Children’s Emergency Rooms (ERs) and Telemedicine Satellite Centers (TSCs). This achievement was made possible by the Government of Sindh’s commitment to child health through a public-private partnership.

With 10 Children’s ERs in government hospitals and 105 TSCs operating 24/7 and free of charge, no child in Sindh is more than 30 minutes away from quality emergency care. Dr. Ahson Rabbani, CEO of ChildLife Foundation, emphasizes that access to this care is a fundamental right.

An independent study in The Lancet confirmed a low 1.2% mortality rate among critically ill children treated at ChildLife-managed ERs, comparable to top private hospitals. Furthermore, the ER at Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi achieved international SafeCare Level 5 certification, setting quality benchmarks in public healthcare.

As ChildLife expands, this partnership exemplifies scalable and equitable healthcare nationwide, showcasing the power of innovation and public commitment.
