The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has published the latest data on foreign reserves. As of July 18, 2025, the country’s total liquid foreign reserves amounted to $19.9175 billion. The breakdown of these reserves is as follows:
– Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: $14.4566 billion
– Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: $5.4609 billion
– Total liquid foreign reserves: $19.9175 billion
During the week ending July 18, 2025, the SBP’s reserves decreased by $69 million, bringing the total to $14.4566 billion, primarily due to external debt repayments.
