The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) has successfully completed a capacity building project for the Balochistan Assessment and Examination Commission (BAEC) under the Balochistan Human Capital Investment Project, funded by the World Bank. This initiative aimed to enhance assessment quality and learning outcomes in the province by strengthening the institutional capacity of BAEC in conducting large-scale assessments.
The project comprised four phases focused on developing high-quality examinations, resulting in an Assessment Framework and Background Questionnaire for Grades IV and VIII. Dr. Naveed Yousuf, CEO of AKU-EB, emphasized the importance of fair assessments in quality education, while Dr. Anjum Halai highlighted the project’s potential to transform educational experiences across Pakistan.
Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister of Education, praised the collaboration as a model partnership for institutional growth and expressed the government’s support for future initiatives. Participants appreciated the project’s practical application, noting its effectiveness in connecting theory with real-life situations.
