SSUET Faculty pledged their full cooperation in safeguarding and academic activities

Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology convened an important meeting chaired by Chancellor Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan. During the session, Registrar Cdre. (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali gave an overview of the background and concealed facts related to the recent incidents on May 3 at the university, discussing their implications and informing faculty members about the overall situation.

In this context, Registrar Syed Sarfaraz Ali said that some faculty members give the impression that they represent the entire faculty of Sir Syed University, while the reality is the opposite. These few individuals falsely claim to represent the whole faculty and distort the facts to achieve their nefarious goals.

Talking about the security of Sir Syed University, Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali said that the university administration has engaged a private security company to ensure the examinations proceed as scheduled and to prevent disruptions to academic activities. The additional security measures aim to protect the university premises and uphold the dignity and respect of faculty members. The administration is committed to preventing a recurrence of the violent and unlawful incidents of May 3, 2025. It will maintain ongoing communication with faculty and students, incorporating their feedback into future reforms.

In the meeting, faculty members appreciated being included in the decision-making process. They strongly condemned the illegal acts of May 3 and pledged their full cooperation in safeguarding the university and ensuring the continued smooth conduct of academic activities. Additionally, the faculty expressed full confidence in the measures undertaken by the university administration.
