Istaqbaal-e-Ramzaan has become an indispensable feature of SSGC’s calendar of events through which Company employees mark the advent of the blessed month of Ramzaan.  Every year, the event organised by SSGC’s Corporate Communication Department is marked with the presence of reputed clerics and naat khuwaans of the country who reinforce the significance of the Holy month with their inspiring sermons and naat renditions. 

With Ramzaan just a day away, this year’s edition of Istaqbaal-e-Ramzaan, held at the Company’s Head Office auditorium, was another uplifting and inspiring session attended by a packed capacity audience of Company employees. Imran Maniar, Managing Director SSGC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The event featured renowned religious scholar Allama Mufti Muhammad Ismail Hussain Noorani whose lucid and concise address focused on many benefits of Ramzaan. In his thought-provoking speech, Mufti saheb reiterated that Ramzaan provides Muslims a perfect opportunity to cleanse their sins and start afresh. He said that the true spirit of Ramzaan lies in practising religious tolerance, patience and empathy for fellow human beings.

The event was also graced by two established Naat Khuwaans Alhaaj Hassaan Bin Khurshid and Alhaaj Syed Khalid Hussain Shah whose renditions took the Company audience on a totally different plane.   

Earlier, Salman A. Siddiqui, Head of Corporate Communications, welcomed the guests and rendered a few self-penned verses on the arrival of Ramzaan. This program was gracefully conducted by eminent compere of religious events, Muhammad Ali Gohar and concluded with Salaam and Dua led by Mufti saheb.

Mr. Imran Maniar, presented company souvenirs and bouquets to the guests, who appreciated SSGC for organising the event simply yet impressively. Packs of dates were presented to all those in attendance.
