· Another range bound session was witnessed at the PSX today. The market traded in the positive zone, despite the lackluster activity that was observed throughout the trading session due to political unstabality. Investors’ participation remained sluggish as volumes continued to fall, on the contrary, decent activity was recorded in the 3rd tier stocks.

· The Index closed at 41,839.26pts, up by 83.81pts (0.20% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Technology & Communication (25.5pts), Commercial Banks (14.7pts), Fertilizer (10.9pts), Cement (10.0pts) and Textile Composite (9.2pts).

· Volumes decreased from 380.6mn shares to 190.3mn shares (-42.1% DoD). The average traded value also decreased by -39.8% to USD 26.4mn as against USD 43.91mn.

· Stocks that contributed significantly to the volumes are WTL, FNEL, SNGP, PRL and DCL.
