The 3-day 19th Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said Memorial Inter-School Football Championship Tournament 2017 has started on Tuesday December 5, 2017 under the ages of Hamdard Public School at Bilawal Stadium, Madinat al-Hikmah, Karachi. Three matches were played on first day the Elixir School v/s Hamdard Village School; Hamdard Public School v/s Usman Public School and Karachi Public School v/s H.B. Malik Public School. Hamdard Village School won the match by 13:0; Hamdard Public School by 1:0 and Karachi Public School by 4:0.

Chief Guest Anwar Aziz Jakartawalla, who inaugurated the tournament by kicking the football, said that sports created team spirit in students adding that the children and youth should learn time management from Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, founder of Hamdard Public School, Village School and Madinat al-Hikmah. Hakim Sahib’s time management was exemplary, he maintained.

Ms. Nabeela Maheen, Headmistress, Hamdard Public School offered vote of thanks. Mrs. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan gave shields of Replica of Seal of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the Chief guest and Prof. Dr. Shabibul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University.

Besides parents, teachers and students attended the inaugural ceremony of the tournament.
