UIT Reunites Alumni at ‘ALUMNIGHT ’17’

Pakistan’s premium technology institution, Usman Institute of Technology, organized a happening reunion for its alumni called ‘ALUMNIGHT ’17’. The event provided UIT graduates with a chance to gather again and relive precious memories of their student years at the institution. The Chief Guest for the evening was Engr. Omar Salam Ansari, a Computer Systems Engineering graduate of UIT’s first batch (1995). Top management, senior facultyof UIT also joined the alumni in rekindling nostalgic memories and exchanging stories of success and delight.

“It’s a proud moment for us to see our graduates making great strides, reaching very high positions, commanding high respect and admiration from the industry, besides making significant impact in society and their respective industries,” said Dr. Zahir A. Syed, Director, UIT. “We’re extremely pleased to meet and interact with our illustrious graduates and be a part of their happiness and success. They are a true inspiration for our current and prospective students and are a testament to the superior and career-oriented education that we deliver at UIT,” he added.

“I am honoured and really touched by this gesture of the Alumni and UIT, for inviting me to be the Chief Guest of this beautiful gathering that features some of the brightest minds in Pakistan,” said Engr. Omar Salam Ansari, Consultant and Entrepreneur, while sharing his delight. “I thank UIT for making me and all other alumni feel special tonight, as well as for the quality education and enabling learning environment that the institution provided us. When it comes to technology education, UIT has become a household name and a preferred option for youngsters. Finally, I would like to share mine and other alumni gratitude for the continuous efforts of the management and the faculty to take UIT to greater and greater heights,” he added.

Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) organizes different seminars, as well as national and international conferences and social and cultural activities. UIT arranges different educational events for students and public at large. There are two international societies currently working for the grooming of future engineers and scientists. These two International societies include student branches of theInstitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). With the help of these activities UIT aims to ensures the well-rounded development of students that encompasses technical knowledge and skills, character-building, soft skills and empathy for the society and environment.
