Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PLGMEA) Patron-In-chief ,Mr. Fawad Ijaz Khan, and Chairman Mr. Atif Ashraf have felicitated Mohammad Pervaiz Malik on assuming charge of Commerce & Textile Minister. They also lauded the services of EX. Commerce Minister Mr. Khuram Dastagir Khan.

Mr. Fawad Stated that we have high expectations from Mr. Malik as his experience will be Instrumental in further development of our industry especially leather industry & leather garments sector and economy. MR. Fawad Ijaz Khan said that Pervaiz Malik should continue the legacy of Mr. Khuram Dastagir Khan in bailing the industry as well as country out of financial crisis.

Mr. Atif, Chairman PLGMEA urged him to take personal interest for early release of refunds to the business community which is pending since long. He demanded that Government should take immediate steps to release the stuck funds.

Mr. Atif Ashraf further said that Pakistan is one the countries who has expertise to produce and export of high quality Leather Garments to the world and it is one of the identity marks in Europe and US Markets for Pakistan. He strongly urged to Federal Minister for Commerce to activate TDAP and Commercial Consulars in Pakistani Missions Abroad to help exporters in international market for showcase of Pakistani Leather Garments Products on a large scale.
