SSGC organizes a captivating Mehfil-e-Milaad-Un-Nabi (PBUH)

Living up to its long tradition, SSGC organized Mehfil-e-Milaad-un-Nabi (PBUH), an indispensable feature of the blessed month of Rabi-Al-Awwal, that marks the birth of Almighty Allah’s final Messenger Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

A large number of SSGC employees attended this mehfil that was held at the Company’s Head Office auditorium. The event was organized by Company’s Corporate Communication Department with requisite support from few Company departments.

Reputed Islamic scholar Allama Hakeem Mohammad Akbar Dars was the distinguished speaker at the event. In his thought-provoking talk, the learned scholar reiterated that there are so many precious and beautiful aspects of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that one can easily benefit from for this life and hereafter. Allama saheb underscored the point that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the ultimate epitome of perfection chosen for us by Allah (SWT) and it is incumbent on each one of us to follow his teachings of righteousness and virtue.

The event was also marked by heart rending naat renditions by renowned Sanaa khuwaans Qari Asad-ul-Haq and Mohammad Faisal Hassan Naqshbandi, besides a few Company employees. Sanaa khuwaans presented their renditions in praise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with tremendous passion and gusto.

The learned speaker Allama Mohammad Dars concluded the proceedings with a soulful dua. The Mehfil was aptly hosted by a reputed religious program compere and former SSGC Chief Manager Mohammad Ali Gohar. Another former SSGC executive Qari Rais Ahmed recited verses from the Holy Quran to begin the proceedings.

Salman A. Siddiqui, Head of Corporate Communications, thanked Allama Sahab for eloquently presenting before the audience, many facets of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He also thanked the Sanaa Khuwaans for their soulful naat renditions. Mr. Siddiqui also thanked the guests and the audience for their presence in large numbers. At the conclusion of the mehfil he presented bouquets and giveaways to the guests.
