A colourful prize distribution ceremony was held at Saeed Al-flah Literacy Centre, Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shamim Saeed, head of the Saeed Al-Falah Centre, Karachi said that this institution has been providing free education to the poor and needy children of the area and besides education the institution also provided the uniforms, books and school bags free to the students. The school was started in 2013 with 45 students but now their numbers increased to more them 80 and first three students of the school, who appeared in Secondary School Examination this year, properly passed the examination, she said, adding that this institution was running through its own resources without any outside help, and those students who once studied in this school were now imparting education to other students as teachers.
Chief Guest and President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan while addressing the prize distribution ceremony said that the Saeed Al-Falah Centre was imparting education to the poor students on self-help basis which was indeed a commendable work and the credit of this went to Mrs. Saeed, head of the Centre. The others should come forward to help the institution to promote this noble cause of education, she added.
Mrs. Sadia Rashid gave away trophies and prizes to the students on their best performance in curriculum and non-curriculum activities on the occasion.
Muniba Kemal, Incharge of the Centre offered vote of thanks and Shaista Mehmood compered the function.
