SBP’s reserves increased by US$ 14 million

The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 12,576.6 million as of 27-Oct-2023. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

  • Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 7,507.8 million
  • Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks    : US$ 5,068.8 million
  • Total liquid foreign reserves                 : US$ 12,576.6 million

State Bank of Pakistan & CDC launched RAAST payments facility for Mutual Funds

Central Depository Company (CDC) has collaborated with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for allowing investors to purchase mutual funds units using SBP’s RAAST Payment Gateway. CDC has developed a framework where it acts as an “Aggregator” and issues a Raast Payment ID, enabling investors to digitally transfer funds, using Raast, to the respective Asset Management Company (AMC) for purchase of mutual fund units.… Continue
