Life Foundation hosted an evening in honor of Faraz-ur-Rehman, President KATI.

There is immense potential in the young generation. Significant foreign exchange can be earned from IT exports in Pakistan, youngsters just need guidance. These views were expressed by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) President Faraz-ur-Rehman at the dinner organized in his honor by Life Foundation. Agha Shirazi, head of Life Foundation, members of civil society, business community and KATI members participated in large numbers in the event.

On the occasion, Faraz-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan is facing an economic crisis, we have started to depend on imports, but this crisis has allowed us to promote the local industry, by ending our dependence on imports. On the other hand, there is immense potential among Pakistani youth, the IT sector can bring a revolution. We just need to provide world-class training to our youth after which we can increase IT exports manifold. He further said that we don’t need any big infrastructure to increase IT exports, we only need to provide international standard training to the youth which is very easy.

Faraz-ur-Rehman said that the economic crisis can be overcome by promoting industrialization and small and medium-scale industry in the country. He said that for the sake of the country, the political parties must forget their differences and sit at a table to formulate an economic policy, otherwise the situation will get worse.

Earlier, Agha Shirazi, head of Life Foundation, said that the ceremony was organized in recognition of the services of KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman because he is an example for the youth, he has promoted the IT sector and is working tirelessly to provide an environment favorable for start-ups for which he must be appreciated. Agha Shirazi further said that Faraz-ur-Rehman as the President of KATI is leading the path to promote industrialization. He said that Life Foundation is also organizing various welfare and social programs including increasing employment opportunities for the youth in the country under the patronage of Faraz-ur-Rehman. Prominent businessmen, civil society and business community leaders also addressed the event.

Later, KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman was also presented with Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding services.
