Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) holds AGM, and Faraz-ur-Rehman’s exemplary Service was lauded.

The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) recently convened its Annual General Meeting, drawing distinguished members and luminaries from the industrial sector. The event celebrated the exceptional service of President Faraz-ur-Rehman, who was commended for his dedicated leadership and commitment to KATI’s growth. The gathering, attended by Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi, and former chairpersons and presidents such as Farhan-ur-Rehman, Masood Naqi, Mian Zahid Hussain, Gulzar Firoz, Ehteshamuddin, Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Syed Farrukh Mazhar, Tariq Malik, Sheikh Umar Rehan, Salim-uz-Zaman, along with members of the executive council and other KATI members, was marked by a deep appreciation for President Faraz-ur-Rehman’s outstanding contributions.

Faraz-ur-Rehman, who hails from the lineage of KATI founder Haji Fazal-ur-Rehman, was lauded for his unwavering commitment to the organisation. He was described as a leader who tirelessly worked day and night to address the challenges the Korangi Industrial Area and KATI members faced.

Zahid Saeed, CEO of KITE Limited, praised Faraz-ur-Rehman’s presidency, acknowledging that every member of KATI recognised his efforts. The one-year extension of Faraz-ur-Rehman’s tenure was seen as a positive development, with expectations that his dynamic leadership would yield even more accomplishments.

Former President Masood Naqi showered accolades on Faraz-ur-Rehman for spearheading a clean and green campaign in the Korangi industrial area, displaying exceptional coordination with local bodies, and ensuring timely cleaning of drains during the monsoons. He declared Faraz-ur-Rehman as the most successful president in KATI’s history.

Former Chairman Farhan-ur-Rehman expressed pride in Faraz-ur-Rehman’s achievements, stating that he had elevated KATI’s status and brought honour to his family and his father’s legacy.

Mian Zahid Hussain, another former chairman, commended Faraz-ur-Rehman’s proactive approach in promptly addressing the problems faced by KATI members, showcasing his ability to liaise with relevant institutions for speedy resolutions.

The Annual General Meeting attendees expressed optimism that Faraz-ur-Rehman would continue his outstanding performance during his extended presidency.

During his address to the members, President Faraz-ur-Rehman extended gratitude for the trust and expectations placed in him by KATI members. He assured them that he viewed his role as a sacred duty and pledged to work tirelessly in collaboration with members and senior leaders to improve and develop KATI and the Korangi industrial area.

In a poignant moment, the attendees also paid tribute to the late SM Muneer, former patron-general, founder leader Haji Fazal-ur-Rehman, and other departed figures like Akbar Farooqui and Dr. Sami-uz-Zaman, offering prayers for their eternal reward.
