KATI praises Sindh Government for issuing a tender for the construction of the Korangi Causeway Bridge

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) President Faraz-ur-Rehman expressed his gratitude for the tender issued by the Sindh government for the construction of the Korangi Causeway Bridge. He said that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Minister of Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah, and Former Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab fulfilled the long-standing demand of KATI. He said that due to the absence of the said bridge, the flow of traffic from the Korangi industrial area is badly affected, while there are serious problems in bringing the shipments from the industries to the port. However, after the construction of the bridge, the flow of traffic from the industrial area will be restored and the export goods will be able to be delivered to the port in time.

President KATI said that the Korangi Causeway Road was dilapidated after the rains and traffic jams were a regular problem that criminals took advantage of and raises street crime. Faraz-ur-Rehman said that during the visits of various ministers and administrators of KATI, there were repeated demands that the Korangi Causeway be reconstructed so that the port and inland access of industries continues unhindered. President KATI said that we are very grateful to the government of Sindh for this initiative and that they have fulfilled the long-standing demand of KATI. Faraz-ur-Rehman appealed to the Sindh government to pay special attention to international standards in the construction of the bridge while binding the contractor to complete the construction work as soon as possible. He hoped that the government would provide all the resources required for the construction of the Sindh bridge on time, which would benefit not only the industries but also a large number of people.
