KATI appreciates govt’s efforts to end energy crises

Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief S.M Muneer and President KATI Masood Naqi see hope after improvement of Pakistan’s position in World Bank’s “Doing Business Ranking”. The report also indicated more improvement for the next year. SM Muneer said that Federal Government also is also working of reforms of Business laws and economic policies, it is also hoped the after these efforts Foreign investments and Industry in the country will boost up, and exports will hit higher levels.

Muneer appreciated the effort of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s efforts to end energy crises and especially the measures he has taken to speed up the work on CEPEC. ‘Pakistan’s economic image is getting brighter international because of PM efforts” he said.

President of KATI Masood Naqi said that Industrialists and business community always put effective suggestions to improve economic conditions, government should considers these suggestion seriously. “Complication of tax systems and ambiguities regarding federation and the provinces jurisdiction related to taxation and other regulation laws should be rid off to provide smooth environment for industrial and business growth” he suggested. Masood Naqi further said that Industrial Areas of Karachi provide more the half of the production of export goods, in any reform program for the economic condition, infrastructural issues of these areas should be considered on priority bases. Naqi said the doing business is becoming more viable in the country but many millstones to be reached yet.
